Imprisoned with the pharaohs

H.P. Lovecraft once ghostwrote a serialised story for Harry Houdini, called Imprisoned with the Pharaohs. This collaboration between two historic figures will be the basis of our story, where you will play a group of archaeologists who travel inside a pyramid and face an inconceivable foe within. 

Or maybe you go on holiday in the surrounding area and the foe has to hunt you down?

Or maybe you fly back home and the foe stalks you somewhere else entirely? As the audience, you can truly take the story in whatever direction they want.

However, if you want to make a decision that warps the story in a significant way, or that is outside of the presumed ability of your average archaeologist, you will have to excavate an artefact without toppling down the ruins surrounding. Fail and you’ll incur the wrath of the ancient spirits that observer your every move, and you’re escape from your fate will be all the more difficult.

Chronic Insanity, an Off West End Award winning theatre company from Nottingham, is taking their improvised and interactive storytelling style, pioneered with VAULT Festival hit All Falls Down, and using it to give you a chance to live a little known classic horror story, making your own decisions along the way to meaningfully warp the outcome of the tale.
