green
18th - 20th February
A play with music about unrequited love, fame, sexuality, and privilege.
Jude and Zoe's blossoming friendship is shadowed by ruthless competition for the attention of Ben, the closeted pop superstar who brought the two together.
Jude and Zoe meet in the green room of a music venue. Jude is an undiscovered musician from a small town who values authenticity. Ben offers Jude the spot as an opener for his tour after a flirty first meet. Zoe is the daughter of famous musicians. She is hardened by growing up in the industry and willing to do whatever it takes to thrive in it, including posing as Ben's girlfriend for the public. As the tour progresses, Jude and Zoe's friendship intensifies until their shared desire to win Ben's heart leads to deception, manipulation, and betrayal.
